Greetings from 2019

14 Jan 2019 9:07 AM | Scott Chapman

A new year, a time to set some new cycling goals.

Personally I plan to ride RAIN again this summer with rest of team, but also looking forward to riding across another state, last year was Michigan (ODRAM) and part of Ohio (TOSRV).

This year I'm looking at Illinois.  Check out RAIL south in June.  Bus from Vincennes to St.Louis then ride back to Indiana next day.  Let me know if you want to join me.

Plan to redo the Kentucky Century Challenge.   Here are the rides this year, Most are pretty hilly around 5K of elevation but the scenery is worth it.  Last two rides are fairly new to challenge.  You can do all individually, or can sign up for challenge where if you complete the 4 centuries you get a free kit (or at least a jersey).  When I did in 2017 there were 5 rides, complete 4 for jersey, 5 for bibs.  Have metric option jersey awards too.

April 13th is Redbud ride in London.  Be my 3rd time.  I plan to ride Friday-Sunday.

May 25th in Horsey 100 in Georgetown.  Be my 5th time. This is Memorial Day weekend.  I plan to ride Friday-Sunday.

August 3rd is Bourbon & Bluegrass Ride in Owensboro.  Be my 2nd, 1/2 elevation of the others but starts/ends at bourbon distillery so it's worth the visit.  When rode in 2017 it was only 1 day.

September 7th is Limestone Tour in Maysville.  Be my 2nd time.  I  plan to ride Friday-Sunday.  Ride fairly new, only 8 of us rode Friday, and I skipped Sunday but Saturday was couple 100 riders.
