What to Bring


Helmet (required)

Water bottles – water and electrolytes one bottle each

Tires filled with air (or bring a pump) – get in habit of airing up your tires before each ride

Your “Cycling Kit:”

  • Jersey
  • A good pair of cycling shorts
  • Socks
  • Cycling-specific shoes for toe clips or clipless pedals
  • Cycling gloves
  • Sweat band or head sweat
  • Sunglasses/eye protection


Headlight and tail light (especially for early/late season rides when sunset occurs earlier)

Cyclometer to track distance and speed

ID/consider getting a Road ID

A small pack to carry things needed to change a flat tire, including:

  • Spare tube
  • Tire levers
  • CO2 cartridge (or small pump)

A great attitude -- we will have fun!
